Yesterday afternoon teased the promise of a great sunset, with the puffy, slow moving clouds skirting over the lake. But later in the afternoon, those chances increased as we had a fast moving thunderstorm roll through a couple of hours before sunset.
I made my way to the lake an or so before sunset, and was able to capture the images below.
The first image above was taken shortly after I arrived to the lake front, and while waiting to see what the sunset had in store.
The second image was slight before the sun was to hit the horizon. I decided to try something different for this one, and put a 10 stop filter on the lens, pushing my shutter speed to 90 seconds, which allowed the clouds to drag across the sky.
